About Community Living Trent Highlands
Community Living Trent Highlands works to bring people living with a developmental disability and their communities together to the benefit of both. We are a charitable, not-for-profit organization serving the City of Kawartha Lakes, Haliburton County, and Peterborough and area. We strongly believe that people with a developmental disability should be able to live a life of purpose, with access to supports - both formal and informal - that promote their contributions to and participation in the community and society. Community Living Trent Highlands was founded with the amalgamation of Community Living agencies in Peterborough, Haliburton County and the City of Kawartha Lakes, creating one of the largest Community Living organizations in Ontario. The amalgamation brought together 173 years of combined experience, resolve, and collaborative action to serving people living with a developmental disability, families and the communities in which they live, work and play. Community Living Trent Highlands is an United Way member agency. OUR SERVICES Community Living Trent Highlands provides a range of services to people living with a developmental disability and their families so that they may enjoy meaningful lives through connection, contribution and choice. We also support children with special needs, their families and the early learning community. Through Job Quest, we assist those who face employment barriers to find meaningful long-term employment.
