About Community Markets Association of Williamson County
CMAWC is a non-governmental organization dedicated to enabling and incubating new agricultural markets between growers and consumers, growers and growers, and consumers and consumers. Our focus is twofold, namely (1) LOCAL, the more narrowly local the better (while networked to the whole), and (2) sustainable practices that aim towards zero-footprint environmental impacts. Our methods are to help create a market and after a time to walk away and leave it to run itself through its members. We anticipate a secondary role in local knowledge-base development but this function is not yet fully formed.
