About Community Massage Project
A dedicated event massage service provider with a heart! At Community Massage Project we offer 10 minute massages to visitors at events, and ask them to pay-what-they-feel. They enjoy an energising massage and this, in turn, supports us to pay-it-forward by providing free, tailored wellbeing services to local hospices and charities. Community Massage Project was born out of a desire to combine a financially sustainable business model with a passion and compassion to pay-it-forward to those that need it most within our community. Faye, our Founder, used to work in the events industry, so one of her responsibilities was to book effective hospitality services and stand activation for events and exhibitions. She also experienced first-hand the long hours at events, so sought solutions to feel re-energised and alleviate back pain from excessive standing. A seated chair massage gives visitors a second burst of energy at an event, and organisers quickly realised the benefits of our massage rejuvenation station; as a value-added hospitality service, along with providing wellbeing within the events industry. Our pay-it-forward policy has enabled us to directly impact the lives of those most vulnerable in our community and the lives of those that support them. The hospices and charities that we regularly collaborate with understand, and appreciate, the benefits of our free massage service; as a support to their clients' physical and mental health, along with therapeutic touch impacting quality of life.
