About Community Ventures In Living
Our Mission: The mission of Community Ventures in Living (CVL) is to assist and support persons who are developmentally disabled and their families to establish and/or maintain homes that are truly their own. The services of the agency are founded on the belief that every individual has the right to live as a valued and accepted member of the community. Recognizing that from time to time every individual needs support, we strive for individuals who have disabilities and their families to live as independently as is appropriate and to create an environment where dignity, a positive social role, inclusion into the community, self direction, and a feeling of self worth are enhanced through supporting individual strengths, relationships and the acquisition of life skills. Our philosophy: Respect for the individual is one of our core beliefs. Community Ventures in Living is in service to our clients, and by focusing on the individual we can be sure to help in the creation and preservation of a positive role in the community. Each person has a story unique to them. It is our mission to learn this story and help that story become as rich with a full life as it can be. Our Compassionate Approach to Assistance: CVL celebrates the evolving hopes and goals of each person. These are the building blocks in creating a place in the community. We are honored to work with each person we serve, and strive to assist them by using their unique strengths to create an appropriate and dignified place in their community.
