Compact Food Solutions AS - 'Denmark' was founded in 1992 to strengthen the Group’s position in the European Union. In 2008 it was decided to increase the group’s presence in the developing world and 'Compact India Pvt. Ltd.' (CIPL) was setup in-cooperation with IFU, with the mission to offer high quality nutrition products close to the areas of need. Since starting its operations in 2009, CIPL has helped to save more than half a million severely malnourished children around the world. It is today Asia's largest supplier of 'Ready to Use Therapeutic Food' (RUTF) & 'Ready to Use Supplementary Food' (RUSF) for treatment of severely and moderate acute malnourished children. Compact Food Solutions was established in Cape Town, South Africa in 2014. The site comprises branch office, factory and warehouse. The factory produces peanut-based Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food for treatment of severe acute malnutrition. As a production site, it is strategically important as Cape Town is Africa's strongest economy and represents the main producer of consumer goods. The location is also close to the consumer market. Raw materials are readily available and logistics are good. Cape Town has a stable climate and is close to major sea- and airport. Compact Food Solutions (Pty) Limited is certified with FSSC-22000. Compact Food Solution is a member of UN Global Compact.
