Our name is our mission - Compassionate Care for the seriously ill. We are the right choice for patients and families in Western North Carolina who want to experience the best quality of life possible for as long as possible. We've been caring for people living with serious, life-limiting illness since 1982. Our Compassionate Care teams are experienced in the medical specialties of palliative medicine, hospice and grief counseling. Our focus is on care versus cure. Compassionate Care Western North Carolina is a not-for-profit organization. Our care decisions are made at the bedside, not in a boardroom. Everything we do is guided by the wishes and goals of the patients and families. We are members of TELEIOS Collaborative Network, The Carolinas Center for End of Life Care and The Association foro Hospice and Home Care of North Carolina. Our brand mark - The Star of Compassion Our symbol recognizes the artistic heritage of the area we serve. The colors of the mark represent the passage of time from day to night in our journey through life. It also reflects the round the clock compassionate care we provide our patients and families.
