Compelling is a full-spectrum cafe services company, offering high-quality coffees from single sources, the most-trusted cafe equipment on the market, comprehensive training, & dependable customer service. Sourcing & roasting the highest-quality coffee is our core competency. Our offerings are selected for their flavor vibrancy and “cleanliness,” meaning it must be free of flavor taints caused by poor processing or storage. Coffee is a seasonal fruit; we only offer coffees within a certain window of freshness (9 – 13 months past harvest). We source coffees with articulate, clear flavors & maximum sweetness. Our raw coffee partners know we do not accept coffees that are past their peak, taste of ferment, or have flattened acidity. It’s these standards and an unending focus on increasing sweetness, solubility, and pleasant flavors through the roasting process that have lead to great reputation in the specialty coffee industry and beyond. Compelling started in late-2011 as our founder began exploring the sustainability of the specialty coffee market. Our initial offerings were the rarest coffees and teas in existence, which led us to explore our own sustainability as a business and our place in the market. In 2013, Compelling began selling roasted-to-order coffees through this website and select Los Angeles and New York wholesale partners. By the end of the year, we’d won a few awards for roasting, and grew large enough to generate national interest. Today, Compelling works with partners across the world, from supermarket distributors to small cafes, from the United Kingdom to Mexico, as a comprehensive cafe services company. Creating sustainable, profitable, quality relationships with our service partners is what we do 24/7. As a company, Compelling is moving towards a zero-waste operation. We only produce enough coffee to fulfill orders, never sending out stale coffee. We use post-consumer goods and biodegradable packaging whenever possible.
