Comprehensive Alcoholism Rehabilitation Programs (CARP) | Est. 1972 CARP's goal is to help break the cycle of hopeless addiction, dependency and resulting homelessness among Palm Beach County’s economically vulnerable residents. CARP provides compassionate, affordable recovery housing programs and wrap-around services for homeless men and women who are suffering from substance use disorder in Palm Beach County. CARP residences employ a peer-driven recovery model proven to be effective against addiction. Services include initial and ongoing assessment; 24-hour supervision; life skills training; participation in 12 Step recovery meetings; workshops to help remove individual blocks to recovery (e.g., low self-esteem); access to affordable healthcare; pro-bono legal guidance; job preparation, including access to career resources provided by local nonprofits (e.g., Career Source Palm Beach County); ongoing assessment and abstinence monitoring; and, coordination of aftercare plan. CARP collaborates with other Palm Beach County nonprofits, government agencies, and private sector firms to provide a holistic wellness solution that treats the body, mind, and spirit.
