About Comprehensive Level One Staffing
Comprehensive Level One Staffing is a multi-state neurosurgical hospitalist practice providing comprehensive neurosurgical and neurointerventional staffing services on a full-time, part-time, and locums basis to hospitals and practices in need. Staffing a level one trauma center or a comprehensive stroke center is a daunting task. Comprehensive Level One Staffing seeks to alleviate this burden both for the hospitals and their respective physicians. All too often, a recurring scenario develops where there is not enough time in the day or enough physicians to manage the work load of an elective practice and cover the hospital. The hospital needs the trauma and/or comprehensive stroke center covered but the surgeons are either busy in clinic or in an elective case; unavailable when needed. The hospital tries to recruit to fill the gap but there just isn’t enough elective work to keep everyone happy. Or worse yet, the hospital tries to employ their own physicians only to find out that they can’t find enough to cover and the private physicians feel threatened and take their cases elsewhere. By outsourcing the emergency services to Comprehensive Level One Staffing, the hospital covers the needed services without posing a threat to the very physicians that it needs for the elective cases that support the hospital. This becomes a win-win-win. A win for the hospital that now has the trauma service line covered 24/7/365 without staffing or scheduling concerns; a win for the community surgeons that get to focus on their elective practices without the constant interruption of ER call and disruption to their practices; and finally a win for the physicians that we provide: focusing on life-saving and emergency procedures without the burden of running an elective practice and business.
