About Computational Life
Computational Life’s product: Altegos™ - the first patient-specific, predictive decision support software for shock care. Altegos a cardiopulmonary digital twin for shock patients. It is able to predicts the future effects of the treatments on the patient affected by shock. Thus, reducing errors, increase the survival, decrease the readmission rate and reduce the length-of-stay. Altegos relies on mathematical deterministic models of the whole human physiology that have been validated against bench tests and real clinical measurements in healthy and pathological scenarios. Altegos™ thus goes beyond artificial intelligence since it has the ability of reconstructing the physical processes that underlie specific physical and pathological scenarios. On the contrary, AI software are based on previous experience, and need to be trained properly in order to provide acceptable results. This difference enables Altegos to simulate and predict patient-specific outcomes of treatments and pathological conditions with a broad spectrum of possibilities, including those cases where no previous experience has been made. While AI needs big data to be validated and updated, mathematical simulation doesn’t.
