About Computer Mentors Group
We are a movement to Make I.T. Happen: It’s about making information technology not only an equally available possibility, but a staple in our community. Make I.T. Happen is more than just a campaign; for everyone at Computer Mentors – it’s a passion. Computer Mentors works to build opportunity through expertise for the youth of our community. By establishing and building upon a fundamental skillset covering programming, entrepreneurism, public speaking, and more; Computer Mentors gives its students the tools and talent they need to become savvy, self-starting achievers in a tech-centric world. CMG History Founded in 1997 as a “grassroots” organization in East Tampa, the organization has served over 1,200 youth from Hillsborough County and won the Tampa Business Journal Education Non-Profit of the Year for 2011. The organizations primary program, STEM Corps, empowers youth between the ages of 14 and 18 with the latest technology skills and certifications in Web Design, Mobile App Development, and Video Production.
