About Con-Calore Dance Group
Con-Calore Dance Group is a contemporary dance group with an urban theatrical style located in Jerusalem. The group is composed of professional dancers from Europe who chose to come to Israel and settle in it, create and flourish. The group started its joint journey in 2015 and has since risen quite fast to become one of the most favourable performers in prestigious venues such as museums, theatres, festivals and art exhibitions in Israel. The group was founded by the choreographer Maya Popova and the entrepreneur Michal Bar-Or. Maya's choreographic style has a unique body language, choosing dramatic structures and practice motion by emotion, which extend the autobiography of the body by means of visionary dance spectacles. Each piece made by the group has a unique story that aims to uncover the hidden language of dance. The group dancers are carefully chosen from the Kibbutz Dance Company and Batsheva Dance Company. It is part of the uncompromising professionalism the group believes in when it comes to the performing arts.
