About Concept Art Gallery
Established in 1972, Concept Art Gallery is proud to represent and exhibit many of the regions most established artists, along with artists of national and international reputation. Our inventory contains Contemporary Graphics by well-known American and European Artists, including Jennifer Bartlett, Patrick Caulfield, Richard Diebenkorn, Nicole Eisenman, Sam Gilliam, Jenny Holzer, Wolf Kahn, Deborah Kass, Richard Serra, Fred Tomaselli, and many others. Along with sales in the primary market, the Gallery is an active participant in the secondary market through brokered sales of high value art and objects. Past brokered sales include an Andy Warhol self-portrait, Anselm Ryle mixed media work, Elisabeth Frink bronze, and others. Additionally, Concept conducts regular live auctions in our Regent Square gallery space. Bidders can participate in house, via telephone, absentee bid or in real-time online through Live Auctioneers and Invaluable. Since 1986, we have auctioned Modern and Contemporary Art & Design, Estate Antiques and Fine Art, and Single Owner sales including: Alcoa, The Estate of Jerry Caplan, The Emily F. Oliver Estate, the Estate of Jane Epstine, and The Joseph Trees Estate. Gallery directors Sam Berkovitz and Alison Brand Oehler are licensed auctioneers and certified members of the Appraisers Association of America. Together they have appraised many single artworks and collections for individuals, corporations and estates and act as consultants to numerous area collectors, foundations and museums, including: The Carnegie Museum of Art, The Warhol Museum, The Westmoreland Museum of Art and the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art. Concept Art Gallery offers in-house insured archival framing services. Our framing staff collectively share 50 years of experience handling and framing fine art, and routinely frame works for area collectors and museums. The Gallery has professional art handlers on staff to transport and install customer artwork and framing.
