About Concerted Effort
Concerted Effort is a vibrant not-for-profit devoted to arts in education. Our programs serve the greater Capital District and Mid-Hudson Valley region of New York. We particularly seek out partnerships with public schools in low-income urban and rural areas. Our main goals are to engage all children in learning and to foster and inspire literacy development through the performing arts. Our work focuses on three areas: school residencies to work directly with children in the classroom, professional development to equip teachers to use performing arts strategies, and family literacy nights to involve parents in their children’s education.
