About Concordia University - Sustainable Investing Practicum

Through a partnership with Manulife Investment Management, a select group of students at the John Molson School of Business will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations in an equity portfolio context. Participants will be part of an Investment Management Committee and take part in practical labs where they will interact in real time with Manulife Investment Management’s Canadian Fundamental Equity team, making fund management recommendations based on the fundamentals of sustainable investing. They will also present in front of a Supervision Committee multiple times per year to get a similar experience to real life fund supervision. This program will help prepare them to join the next generation of investment professionals who have an appreciation for the challenges and opportunities presented by environmental, social and governance issues.
