About Concrete Canvas
Concrete Canvas Ltd. was incorporated in the UK in 2005 to manufacture its 2 award winning technologies, Concrete Canvas and Concrete Canvas Shelters. These products were developed to exploit a unique material technology invented at Imperial College London in 2004. Concrete Canvas (CC) is a flexible cement impregnated fabric that hardens on hydration to form a thin, durable water proof and fire proof concrete layer. Essentially, it's concrete on a roll, all you have to do is add water. CC is a low mass, low carbon technology which uses up to 95% less material than conventional concrete for many applications. CC has an expected life of over 50 years, is chemically resistant, has good weathering performance and will not degrade in UV. The fibre reinforcement prevents cracking and absorbs energy from impacts, whilst the PVC backing on one surface ensures that the material is water impermeable. Concrete Canvas Ltd’s core material technology enables the supply of unique construction solutions that are extremely fast, simple to install and durable.
