About Concrete LCDA
Revitalised by three young entrepreneurs with complementary skills, LCDA (set up in 2003) became Concrete LCDA in 2011. A turning-point came when the designer Matali Crasset agreed to become the brand’s artistic director (2011-2015). This adventure started in 2010, when three young thirty-year olds, decided to take over the craft activity of LCDA. A special preference for this material for which each of them would use their experience in relation to prescribers, international roll-out and product innovation. Established in Avrillé near Angers in the Maine et Loire (49), the company has a 7,500 sqm production workshop which enables it to easily respond to the requirements of production in long runs or made-to-measure. Engineer, designer, artistic cabinet-maker, expert in composite materials…composed his team of 40 persons structured to succeed with the most ambitious projects. The company is now the leader in Europe in the contemporary furniture and fibre-reinforced concrete interior fittings sector with references such as Balenciaga, Saint-Laurent Paris, IKKS, Galeries Lafayette, Groupe Accor, Kenzo... In 2017, Concrete LCDA joined Ober Surfaces, specialist in decorative and technical solutions for interior design that accompanies architects, designers and contrivers in their design work including sales areas, restaurants, hotels, meeting rooms, performance halls, private residences and institutional buildings. Since its creation in 1927, Ober Surfaces has continued to develop its range of products and now offers a wide variety of materials (wood, concrete, metal, paper, resin, etc.) divided into five main brands: Marotte, Oberflex, Concrete LCDA, Pure Paper and Staron.
