About Concrete & Wax

We are an award-wining concrete homeware and candle manufacturer based in the stunning Suffolk countryside. Founded in late 2018 by husband and wife design-duo Alex Sommer and Laura Keller, our collection of handmade pieces has been designed with sustainability at the core. Local sourcing, minimum waste and small batch pouring are our key manufacturing priorities, and when it comes to the design, we strive to give each piece of concrete the longest life possible through our innovative modular concept. A concept where every candle holder can be stacked in multiple ways to offer flexible and adaptable homeware arrangements as well as holding any standard tealights, not just our candles. We proudly won ‘My Gift of All Time’ in the Gift of the Year Awards 2022 for this collection. Since our launch, our collection has grown to include beautiful handcrafted tableware pieces that include a unique splatter concrete effect, the brain child of our child during an off-piste lockdown home schooling lesson! Our Tableware Collection was also Highly Commended in the Gift of the Year Awards 2022. We sell direct to consumers through our website and our pieces can also be found in a selection of independent retailers across the UK.
