About Confcooperative HABITAT
From 1954 Confcooperative Habitat brings together housing cooperatives and their consortia in the field of home services within Confcooperative, the Confederation of Italian Cooperatives, with the task of representing their interests in relation to institutions and national and Community bodies and ensuring the assistance and services necessary for the development of cooperative enterprises in the residential sector. Since January 2011, Confcooperative Habitat is engaged with the other two co-operative corporation Legacoop Abitanti and Agci Abitazione in the national coordination of the Alliance of Italian Cooperatives, housing sector. The objectives include creating a new modern cooperation, strengthened by the multi-year experiences of the three corporations which aim at an overall growth in the quality of living in cities through thematic working groups that address the problems of access to credit, taxation and redevelopment of inhabited centers. In 2008 Confcooepartive Habitat launched AAA architetticercasi ™, the contest for young designers, as an opportunity to discover young talents and spread the culture of cooperative living.
