Confluence AI has developed a highly versatile IoT sensor platform for monitoring and managing UVC energy/dose and Indoor Air Quality. DoseIQ and DoseEZ are patent pending applications that utilize the platform for reducing Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI). Ultraviolet-C room disinfection is performed by hospitals and other facilities to help prevent HAIs, which have a $28 to $45 billion annual cost and results in 90,000+ deaths (NIH/CDC). Confluence AI’s mobile IoT/SaaS platform uniquely addresses this healthcare problem with its AI-enhanced data repository of hospital-wide, UVC disinfection treatments. DoseIQ/DoseEZ cloud-based control has many infection prevention functions not to be found in mobile, robotic, wall or other UVC stand-alone devices. Cloud control can allow a hospital’s staff member to set a room’s dose to a UVC dose level for a discharged patient who had pathogen A, and then set a higher dose level the next patient with pathogen B that requires a higher dose to "kill". Pathogens are easily selected from a database of over 1,100 pathogens and dose log values, and then it is quickly assigned to a room or groups of rooms. After treatment, DoseIQ or DoseEZ alerts the hospital staff, if the UVC dosage was not sufficient to destroy the pathogen for that room. A/CIQ is another UVC sensor solution that monitors UVC energy of lamps in commercial HVAC systems. When the energy level drops below a set value due to age or system failure, A/CIQ alerts the management that the lamps need to be replaced or the system serviced. A/CIQ eliminates the guess work of when to change a lamp, thus avoiding premature replacement or the use of ineffective lamps.
