About Connecting Environmental Professionals Calgary

Connecting Environmental Professionals Calgary is a non-profit, volunteer-led organization dedicated to creating opportunities for emerging and established environmental and sustainability professionals. Originally launched in October 2001, CEP Calgary has become a thriving association with an active membership base of sustainability practitioners, students and engaged citizens, and a broader reach to a network of over 700 sustainability professionals. Our mission is to facilitate constructive dialogue and to inspire action on key environmental and sustainability issues. CEP Calgary Board members and Management Team volunteers organize speaker series events, networking opportunities, and career workshops. We also provide email updates to members with details about events around Calgary, career and volunteer postings, conferences, workshops, and more. CEP Calgary is a chapter of Connecting Environmental Professionals Canada. CEP Canada is a national organization initially founded as Young Environmental Professionals in 1997 in Toronto. Today CEP Canada has four local chapters: Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa, and Calgary. Each chapter is a not-for-profit, independent, volunteer organization with diverse membership. CEP provides a positive forum for emerging and established professionals to meet like-minded people who also have a commitment to the environment, their careers, and their communities.
