Conscious Convergence is a brand who supports Indigenous communities through collaborative design. We work closely with a variety of indigenous to create clothing using handwoven and recycled fabric, naturally dyed with our Holistic-dyes© method. Our goal is to converge with indigenous communities around the world and blend ancient techniques and sacred symbols with modern Art, to create handmade products that are both renewable and unique. We are greatly inspired and working with tribal weaving, hand dyes, embroidery, beading arts of many cultures. We have been working closest with Mayan and Guna communities. Our vision is to expand our working relationship with several tribes to represent them unique work. ETHICAL FASHION Represents an approach to the design, sourcing and manufacture of clothing which maximises benefits to people and communities while minimising impact on the environment. SUSTAINABLE STYLE Our commitment is to "leave no trace" and have the smallest environmental footprint possible. We promote the recycling of each piece of textile down to the smallest piece. We upcycle fabrics. We handwoven our fabrics with organic fibers. We use biodegradable dyes, and we avoid releasing polluting toxic substances into the water. NURTURING BODY AND MIND We believe what we wear expresses who we are, our vision is a holistic one seeking to nurture the body, mind and spirit through sustainable practices and mindful creation. Our revolutionary approach to clothing blends healing plants with natural textiles to create clothing that supports health and well-being. The plants used for dye extraction are also classified as medicinal and have been shown to possess remarkable antimicrobial activity. CO-CREATION : RELATION BASED BUSINESS We have built strong and lasting relations within the communities we work and create in collaboration with tailors and weavers from indigenous communities in Central America.
