About Conservation By Design
Holder of the Royal Warrant by appointment to her Majesty the Queen, Conservation By Design (CXD) is part of an international group dedicated to working with conservators from museums, libraries and archives around the world. As the leading conservation storage and display specialist, our task is to assist in the protection of our cultural heritage. We believe in a holistic approach, working closely with conservators enables us to proudly offer a range of conservation and preservation products. Based in Bedford, CXD has in-house manufacturing capabilities for many of its products, including boxes, polyesters, storage furniture and showcases. We are exclusive distributors for a number of other archival products. CXD's many brands include; Armour Systems showcases, Planorama storage solutions, Archival Aids and Museum Workshop. Since 1992 we have been privileged to work with high-profile organisations including the British Library, British Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Bodleian Library, National French Archive, and Boston Library.
