Conservation Media Group is a non-profit initiative that trains and supports film and video activists to create and deliver compelling productions that make a measurable impact on today’s conservation issues, with a focus on energy and the ocean. CMG began at the crossroads of need and innovation. Conservation organizations know that public opinion is a strong force in effectively making positive changes for the environment. CMG meets that need through the support of our associated production company, Compass Light, Inc., an innovator in streamlining video production, delivery, and measurable impact. CMG puts these tools into the hands of a corps of people producing and distributing film that has a positive effect on urgent ocean and energy challenges. Through training workshops, residencies, and placement of film production and distribution fellows with partner organizations, Conservation Media Group helps create a new level of mastery in capturing, conveying, and advancing urgent conservation goals through videos that have real impact.
