About Considered Design Inc

Considered Design is a Vancouver based landscape architecture studio creating sustainable, modern outdoor spaces for private residential, multi-family and commercial spaces. Julian is an award-winning Landscape Architect with more than 30 years of experience in private practice in the UK and Canada. He’s a registered member of the British Columbia Society of Landscape Architects and is known for his thoughtful design work and attention to detail. Alison holds a Master’s in Landscape Architecture and a Master’s in Landscape Planning and Management. She has over 25 years of experience working in both the UK and Canada, and brings a strong mix of design, planning skills and project delivery to every project. After moving to Canada in 2006, Alison and Julian set up Considered Design Inc. in 2008. One of their earliest commissions was the rooftop garden at the Rennie Art Gallery in Vancouver - a project that helped define the studio’s focus on contemporary landscapes. Together, they offer a personalized and collaborative approach to Landscape Architecture creating landscapes that are thoughtful, functional and responsive to their context.
