Through education and advocacy, the Construction Education Consortium will ignite change in the design and construction industry to embrace the concepts of Visitable, Livable and Adapatable, and Full Access™ which will empower everyone to live in or visit a barrier-free home. Brought together by our shared passion, our philosophy on education and certification is based on dignity in designing and building for people of all ages and abilities. LaDonna Eriksen, Founding Partner, brings over 41 years as a professor and experience in making an amazing Full Access Home™, so you can rest assured our curriculum is top-notch. And we teach the how, as well as a very robust and defined why, to implement these concepts. You can learn more about each of the Founding Partners here. We believe that, once you’ve successfully passed the test for a certification, it’s with you for life—just like undergrad and graduate degrees. To this end, so is our upcoming certification program; once you earn it, you will be certified for life! You won’t have to pay yearly fees just to say you are certified by the Construction Education Consortium. Rest assured, there will be continued development of educational materials every year for CEUs that can be used elsewhere, all designed to help further your ability to serve the community and to give you a valid reason to remain a member in good standing.
