About Consultant Juridique International
We are a consultancy formed in 2025 to combine legal and taxation advice to clients to assist them in navigating the legal, regulatory and taxation advice regimes principally across the UK and Europe. We also combine our specialism in advising clients regarding high value asset acquisitions. Oliver Charles practiced as a solicitor for over 30 years, running his own practice for almost 28 years. He has a wide experience of legal areas including property, both residential and commercial, through estate planning, company commercial matters, charity governance, and wills, probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney. In addition, he lectures in the UK and EU on areas of law, accounting, forensic accounting, business management together with art fraud. He has advised upon and assisted in a number of high value asset transactions including the purchasing of classic Ferrari’s, litigation concern classic racing cars, recovery of stolen and fraudulent art assets. He is published on Deferred Prosecution Agreements, anti-money laundering regulation in the art market, and cultural property protection during conflict. Having gained his MA in the History of Art and a further M.Phil with the Financial Crimes Unit at Coventry University. The consultancy draws upon the expertise of Lucy Charles, an experienced independent Curator, Art Dealer and Art Market Professional working within London and Central Europe. Lucy gained her MLitt Modern & Contemporary Art with Christie’s and the University of Glasgow. She then went on to gain MA in Professional Art Market Practice including economics and law. Lucy is an accomplished and experienced Art Historian, and has procured many artworks for private collections and and institutions as an intermediary Lucy is works within the art markets as an expert witness and as a professional mediator. We are NOT a solicitors practice, nor are we independent financial advisors. We are a hybrid consultancy.
