Continental Engineering & Manufacturing (CEM) is a family-owned precision machining and drive shaft component manufacturer with over 42 years of success. Founded in 1983 by John Anderson and now owned by his sons, Eric and Chris, CEM remains rooted in integrity, innovation, and reliability. Based in Chaska and Frazee, Minnesota, our team of approximately 50 employees delivers exceptional quality and service to customers across North America. We specialize in producing custom components from prototype through high-volume production, supporting diverse industries with vertically integrated manufacturing and advanced capabilities. CEM offers in-house CNC horizontal and vertical milling and turning (with robotic loading), broaching, hobbing/splining, welding, balancing, painting, assembly, kitting, and stocking. For specialized services like heat treating, grinding, coating, casting, and forging, we work with a trusted network of partners to ensure consistent quality. Operating on a Just-In-Time (JIT) model with multi-site and multi-shift capacity, we deliver complex solutions quickly and reliably. Our materials range from steels and aluminum to plastics and castings, all inspected under our ISO 9001:2015-certified Quality Management System. We also provide value-added services in CAD/CAM design, process evaluation, fabrication, and finishing. What truly sets CEM apart is our stability and team culture.
