Good Human’s company values and mission is creating a sustainable and profitable business ecosystem in California that promotes a carbon-negative future. Contingenci®, by Good Human LLC, was a brand founded in 2020 to respond to the Covid-19 pandemic. We produce sustainable recreational & performance reusable masks that have reached their end-of-life phase and are being upcycled into pet beds for the veterinary and pet industry. We also create energy-efficient & increased pet comfort products for veterinarians. Good Human is the first carbon-neutral circular manufacturing facility in San Jose, CA, both women and minority-owned. Our company specializes in sustainable upcycling solutions and pet soft goods using the leftover waste (deadstock) from our *major outdoor apparel industry partners, which would otherwise end up in landfills. As a Covid start-up that has been self-funded, we have faced many challenges and valuable lessons. We need your help to foster awareness and build actual infrastructure to facilitate a circular economy in California and the future USA. We can do this by advocating for more government incentives, policies, and education on how consumer habits can help heal the planet. The CEO is a 4th-year Asian female start-up founder (non-VC) in the Bay Area, and another goal is to help other aspiring minority female sustainable businesses thrive in California and prove that sustainability can be profitable.
