About Contract Design International
Contract Design International, Inc. provides space-planning and design services for clients dealing in Herman Miller furniture and ancillary furniture products. CDI has developed a team of knowledgeable and experienced Herman Miller designers, using industry-standard software, with expertise in Government, Healthcare, Commercial, Education and Banking projects. CDI provides design submittals in AutoCAD, 2020 Cap, CET and Revit formats. Additionally, we work with both domestic and international A&D firms to provide complete FF&E and SID packages. Our History: In October 2006, in an early Victorian farmhouse in Virginia, two old friends decided to create a new type of specialized design company. Contract Design International would be comprised of designers with expertise in Herman Miller furniture, who would support Herman Miller dealerships worldwide. At the time, we were both happily working as independent Herman Miller contract designers on opposite sides of the globe, but this vision united us to create Contract Design International to provide exceptional design service to HMI dealers, architects and end-users. Over the past 11 years, we’ve discovered that the greatest gift of this journey has been the personal connections we’ve made along the way. We have the most amazing design team and clients and we love what we do!
