The current emerging mining market in South Africa is one in which medium to smaller reserves are being explored. Owners of these reserves are not necessarily familiar with or connected to the mining industry, hence the need for a one-stop-mining-service. To service these, Contract Opencast Mining Services ("COMS") has established the following service delivery divisions: - Exploration drilling; - Opencast mining and Environmental Rehabilitation; - Materials handling; - Civil construction; - Equipment rental; and - Lowbed transport logistics.
