CFK (Contractors For Kids) was founded in 2005 by Kevin Harney and Alan Nahmias, principals of Stalco Construction. As long time philanthropists they saw the growing need for financial assistance in our communities. They formed a Board of Directors and thus Contractors For Kids was born. The Board, members, supporters, and volunteers are all "Contractors For Kids"; we are all helping and building futures for children and families in need. We are doctors, lawyers, teachers, bankers, accountants, policemen, firemen, parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, plumbers, social workers, CEO's, CFO's… "We are all Contractors For Kids." OUR MISSION CFK (Contractors For Kids) is a not-for-profit corporation founded for the purpose of providing assistance to families in our communities. Our goal for "Contractors For Kids" is to assist children and their families overcome obstacles that have unfortunately changed or have impacted their lives through the sickness or injury or death of a child. We are committed to this cause and want to give hope and reassurance for their futures. OUR VISION Our Vision is simple: to eliminate financial hardship in our communities brought on by the sickness of a child. One family at a time, we need to make sure that the financial hardship brought on by a sick child does not destroy an already hurt family. Whether it is to pay a phone bill or mortgage payment, we will be there. Whether it be aiding in paying for medical bills deemed "experimental" or due to lack of insurance, we will be there. Whether it be arranging transportation or paying for a room to allow families to remain close during these tough times, we will be there. In heartbreaking cases when a child does not survive their illness and a family needs financial help with burying a child, we will be there. We will do as many of these things to the best of ability, we will always be there, and for this we are responsible, for this is our passion, for this is our vision.
