About Conturo Prototyping
Conturo Prototyping, LLC is specialized in fast on-demand, low to medium-volume productions of highly customized parts, machined from metals and plastics. Our specialty are complex parts with tight tolerances that require 5 axis machining. We work for various industries (e.g. Robotics, Aerospace, Medical and Customer Products) at our two locations in Pittsburgh and Boston. Conturo Prototyping, LLC was founded in 2016 by John Conturo, who successfully graduated from University of Pittsburgh as mechanical engineer. The company started as a 1,000 sqft shop in the Point Breeze neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA and has, since then, quadrupled its’ capacity. Over the past decade the city of Pittsburgh has grown into a hub for engineering and technological advancements and has become a highly demanding market for prototypes and machined parts. Conturo formed the company with the vision to satisfy this technological demand and to machine and provide prototypes and their components to companies from various industries in the wider Pittsburgh area. The technology start-up scene is fast and constantly changing and so we made it our mission to produce quickly and of superior quality.
