About Conviction Capital

Conviction Capital was established as an advisory firm in 2017 to advance the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement through private markets, primarily by mobilising capital towards private equity funds and direct private equity investments. Conviction Capital believes that failure to meet the Paris climate goals may put the Sustainable Development Goals permanently beyond reach and has made clean energy investment a particular priority. Conviction Capital also believes that profitability is fundamental to sustainability, and vice versa, and that it is by pursuing the most attractive risk-adjusted economic returns that we grow the market for sustainable finance. Conviction Capital is building a portfolio of long-term partnerships with entrepreneurial teams and investment platforms that it believes will achieve the greatest developmental and financial impact over the long term. Its differentiator is the intention to maximise enduring economic, environmental and social value for its beneficiaries over the next decades rather than generate short-term cash payments for sales teams. While we seek a modest work fee during the fundraising process and for other advisory work, we aim to maximise success-based economic participation through greater alignment with clients, particularly in terms of duration and share of risk.
