About Coogans Stores
Coogans, originally founded in 1876 by William Coogan, has recently relaunched the Coogans brand with a new logo, celebrating its heritage. Whilst the ownership has changed with various family inheritances over the years, it is still primarily owned by descendants of William Coogan. Coogans currently trade from two premises, Coogans on Collins (Collins Street, Hobart), as well as larger premises on Main Street (entrance also on Charles Street), Moonah. Coogans offer a wide range of furniture (lounge, dining and outdoor), as well as beds and a babies range. In addition, a range of mowers and ATV’s, exercise equipment and electric bicycles are offered. There is also a wide range of electrical (small and large appliances for kitchen, laundry and other small appliances), as well as an extensive range of audio and audio visual equipment. Most of our stock is available immediately, with some selected furniture being available by customer order. Coogans now offer customers the convenience of a Coogans “Line of Credit”. This provides customers with a pre-approved credit limit, to be used at the customers convenience over multiple transactions at different times, with monthly repayments.
