About Cookie Brigade Australia
It all started in 2007, when two Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) attendees baked cookies to give them out to their fellow con-goers. They wanted no money in return, only a chance to bring a little bit of kindness and joy into the lives of strangers. Their efforts were met with an overwhelmingly positive response, with many recipients insisting on compensating them for their efforts. They decided that any money they received would be donated to charity and thus, a movement was born! We’re proud to be a 100% volunteer-run organisation and officially registered as the Australian chapter of Cookie Brigade as a charity with the ACNC in 2023. The Cookie Brigade’s growth and success is fully attributed to the steadfast support of our active volunteer community. We attend events Australia wide and internationally including PAX Australia and The Game Expo, providing cookies to attendees and raising funds for partner charities.
