Cool bananas is a digital software company with the mission to help brands engage with their consumers via more relevant content. We see brands struggle to shift their current marketing model, heavily based on intrusive advertising, to adapt it to the needs of the digital age. Customers are regaining control over the content they consume and have multiple ways to filter out annoying advertising messages. For this reason brands need to start offering content that their target audiences really want to consume and ultimately want to share with other people. Brands are experiencing a growing double frustration in their content marketing strategies. On the one hand they feel the pressure to develop more and more content to feed the voracious social media channels and, on top of that, are producing content that lacks freshness, authenticity and results in low engagement. We believe the root of the problem is that community managers and agencies do not have the capacity to generate and manage this fast content needs, because they try to generate it mostly with their own internal resources. We also believe in open crowdsourced cooperative models, and decided to apply it to solve this problem for a very simple reason: the most effective content is created today by amateurs that are passionate and expert on their topic. We are just introducing COKREATION, a content marketing marketplace where brands buy content from independent creators for their growing daily content needs (social media, blogs, websites, content on packs, etc…). It works very simple. Creators upload their content into the platform. Our targeting technology offers marketeers content that responds to their brand territory. If they like a particular piece of content they can buy and publish it right away (with IP rights cleared). Brands only pay for the content they buy and Independent creators get paid 2/3 of the purchase price. Our business is in deserving the remaining 1/3.
