About Cool to be Kind

Cool To Be Kind (c2bk) are a Chelmsford based community project run entirely by volunteers. Founded in 2015 by a group of friends and change-makers, our primary goal has always been to provide direct support to Rough Sleepers across the South East. Our work has evolved over the past year in direct response to the effects of the pandemic and cost-of-living crisis. We strive to support ALL vulnerable groups in our community and do so through collaborating with a wide variety of outreach groups and organisations. We provide much needed equipment and provisions to our partners as well as champion their work across all of our platforms. We directly manage Street Support Chelmsford, a one-stop digital shop for all support groups, referral routes and information on both voluntary and statutory services. We welcome 'Cool Collaborations' with individuals and groups alike- if you have an idea on how to help, we want to hear about it. We are a team of enablers, 'do-ers' and compassionate thinkers; but most of all, we are a community.
