About Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design
CIID's vision is to inspire action towards better futures. We design & implement products, services and experiences which are people-centered and business focused. We teach our innovative design process to students and companies in structured programmes focused on design thinking and prototyping. Our Interaction Design Programme is among the top design schools in the world. We practice what we teach, putting our process and expertise to work at the service of client and partner goals and global-scale initiatives. We develop new ventures through our startup incubation programme The Nest, based in Copenhagen. Over the course of the past eleven years, CIID has built a powerful brand as a global leader in people-centered design. CIID has attracted experts from 34 different countries. Their expertise covers several aspects of innovation from design to engineering, business, arts and sciences. CIID’s projects have won numerous Core 77 and IxDA awards and have been recognised widely in international and in design press – Wired, Fast Company, and CNN to name a few. In 2013 the organisation received the Gazelle award from the Danish financial journal Børsen for significant growth and impact, and in 2012, CIID won the Danish Chamber of Commerce Knowledge Relay for Denmark’s most innovative and ambitious knowledge enterprise, in the category of “Innovation & Creativity”.
