About Core Devices

Core Devices is a biomedical R&D company that conducts research and develops innovative medical devices for surgical, anesthetic and respiratory care. We provide expert witness and consulting services for patent and product liability cases, on products designed for treatment of sleep apnea, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and surgical care, including CPAP, BPAP machines, sleep masks, breathing tubes, oxygen concentrators, to various endoscopic instruments, surgical stapling instruments, and drug delivery devices. Mission Our mission is to advance the quality of healthcare, through innovative and affordable medical devices that address unmet clinical needs, in existing and emerging points of care. Research Ongoing research is in the areas of field anesthesia, non-invasive and transluminal surgery, pulmonary and cardiovascular mechanics, and design of related products. This includes clinical applications of mechanical ventilation, oxygen delivery systems, respiratory support systems, telemedicine and computer-aided surgery. Past sponsored researches by the National Institutes of Health are for, "A Conformal Oxygen Device for Persons with Respiratory Disability," and "A Portable Field Anesthesia Machine." Development Our product Development strategy is based on the marriage of our core competencies with institutions that offer symbiotic capabilities. In many cases, we may enter into strategic alliances or joint ventures to develop and bring our inventions to commercial fruition. We leverage the opinion of thought leaders in medicine to advance our focus areas of research and development, from requirements definition, to specification, design verification and validation.
