Core Echo's entrepreneurial idea started in 2014 to provide innovative solutions to overcome the challenges faced by oil & gas companies when analyzing rock samples extracted from the earth subsurface. Analyzing these rock samples is of great significance in the process of oil & gas exploration to accurately locate the hydrocarbon reservoirs. As a result of that, tens of thousands of rock samples are extracted annually from the earth subsurface to be studied and analyzed. However, even though this analysis is of great importance, the methods used to analyze the rock samples have not seen any major developments over the past two decades. Hence, these outdated methods are not able to keep up with continuous growth of the oil & gas industry and are considered time-consuming, which leads to delays in drilling and hydrocarbon extraction. Core Echo has, however, found a solution to this challenge by reducing the time it takes to analyze one rock sample, and extract all the necessary properties, from weeks to just an hour. This creates a huge added value to oil & gas companies through the reduction in time and effort. In addition to being expeditious it is also portable, non-destructive and more accurate than currently used methods in the industry.
