Corre Energy (www.corre.energy) is a European company (listed in Dublin, headquartered in the Netherlands) that is at the forefront of developing and operating Long Duration Energy Storage projects and products. These projects unlock the value of renewables by combining hydrogen production with long duration, flexible energy storage, thereby supporting Europe’s net zero decarbonisation goals, increasing Europe’s energy security and facilitating the energy transition. Our first storage projects, both Compressed Air Energy Storage schemes, are located in the Netherlands and Denmark and our ambition is to develop additional schemes in the Netherlands, Denmark and Germany. All of our European projects are designated within the European Union’s 10-year network development plan (TYNDP). In Denmark, we are a partner in the Green Hydrogen Hub alongside Eurowind Energy and state-owned Gas Storage Denmark. The consortium aims to establish one of the world’s largest green hydrogen production plants and combine it with underground hydrogen storage. The Hub will comprise an electrolysis plant, hydrogen storage and several industrial hydrogen consumers including our CAES facility. With deployment of LDES in Europe (and globally), Corre Energy will accelerate the energy transition and help enable a decarbonised world, giving society increased security of energy supply as well as energy that is clean and affordable.
