"Focused on the canine detection needs of corrections." CK9D, Inc. is dedicated to providing the best trained canine detection teams to meet the unique needs of the corrections environment. Our Beginning-- Through exposure to the inmate telephone industry, it became apparent to Dennis that the best alternative to the security threat posed by cell phones smuggled into correctional facilities was a well-trained cell phone detection canine. It also became clear that corrections staff were often the conduit for the smuggling; and that a contracted service would offer corrections management an outside K9 resource not connected with staff to provide the cell phone search capability. Cost would be controlled because there would not be the expense of purchasing, training and maintaining the canine. Therefore, at the start of 2015, Chong and Dennis put in motion the plan to start Correctional K9 Detection, Inc. The company focuses exclusively on the canine search needs of correctional facilities.
