Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD) are devastating adult-onset neurodegenerative diseases. Genetic analysis has revealed the hexanucleotide repeat expansion (HRE) disorder C9orf72 as the most common cause of familial ALS/FTD (C9-ALS/FTD). Corsalex is a joint venture between KCK and Panorama Research.
