About Cortex Glass
Cortex Glass develops and sells innovative Hot End Inspection, Monitoring and Control systems for the container glass, pharmaceutical glass and C&P glass industry. Our camera systems are equipped with interactive user friendly Touch Screen interfaces. With our systems glass plants improve the production yield, improve the container quality, save energy, reduce waste, improve flexibility and can reduce the workforce. Our Hot End systems are fully oriented to Industry 4.0 / Smart Factory and provide real time process data which is stored in local or centralized database systems. The GobWatch camera system monitors the complete gob forming process, automatically controls the gob weight, inspects every gob for inclusions (seeds, bubbles, stones, cords) and rejects glass products made from gobs with bubbles, stones and other gob defects directly after the IS-machine. The BlankWatch camera system measures temperatures like the blank mold temperature, plunger temperature, neck ring temperature and much more. The ISWatch system uses infrared cameras to create images of hot bottles leaving the IS-machine. The ISWatch inspects every bottle for defects and gives real time information about the glass distribution, glass temperature, glass symmetry, verticality, dimensions, ware spacing etc. The ISWatch system rejects bottles with defect like bird swings, fins, stones, blisters, wedge bottoms, spikes,.. The TopWatch system uses one small infrared camera mounted above the conveyor belt to create top view thermal images of the hot glass products. The system measures the X-position, Y-position and the rotation of the glass bottles. Wrong positioned bottles on the conveyor can be rejected as well as stuck ware and fallen ware.
