Cortigenix are a preventative health company that specialise in cortisol testing. Our mission is to empower people to live longer, healthier and happier lives through early detection and prevention of chronic stress. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) chronic stress is the health epidemic of the 21st Century. Around 76% of people have reported chronic stress in the last year with levels of chronic stress increasing over the last decade costing the NHS over £11 billion per year. Worldwide chronic stress costs the global economy trillions. That’s not all, chronic stress is responsible for increased rates of infectious disease, increased rates of long-term chronic health conditions including heart disease, fertility problems, dementia and increased rates of mental illness around the world. Our vision at Cortigenix is to change that. Cortisol is most well-known as the ‘stress hormone’ due to it’s central role in how the body responds to stress, but beyond the role of stress - cortisol plays a vital role in regulating immune function, fertility, brain health, blood pressure and maintaining overall health. Every cell and system within the body is affected by Cortisol. Cortigenix’s breakthrough Cortisol Over Time (COT) Test is the only clinically proven test to accurately manage levels of cortisol over several months, doing away with needles and the need for repeated saliva, urine and blood samples.
