CHCFbrain.org is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and advocacy group focused on promoting and accelerating translational research with primary focus on neurodevelopment. Long-term Goals: 1) Identify the root causes of serious learning disabilities and neurodevelopmental delays/disorders with life threatening behavioral (LTB) manifestations. 2) Develop objective, unbiased blood-based diagnostics. 3) Create curative therapies based on novel druggable targets identified through genetic and epigenetic biomarker discovery and development. Working Hypothesis: A common set of genes may be involved in brain diseases, including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Autism, learning disabilities, neurodevelopmental delays, and serious mental health conditions. Mission Statement: To accelerate research in biomarkers for early diagnosis of high-risk conditions that affect brain function and to develop novel targeted curative therapies based on molecular causes discovered through genetic and epigenetic research. We aim to provide parents and healthcare professionals with objective tools to support the development of children from infancy, using behavioral and psychological assessments. We are all born with inherent characteristics that shape our personality and identity. Some thrive, while others struggle to adapt to their environment—not necessarily due to mental health conditions, but because they lack the tools to flourish in their surroundings. At CHCF, we believe every individual is unique. To help children thrive emotionally, we must develop objective diagnostic tools to 1) Identify the optimal environment for each child early in life; and 2) Equip each child with critical skills to cope with inevitable challenges in today’s global environment. Achieving this requires a new approach to understanding who we are. Join us on this journey!
