About Cosatal Culture Preservation Project

Mission To archive relevant family photo collections, video, and oral history from the inhabitants of coastal communities in order to preserve historical documentation of their unique culture, economy, and environment. To take advantage of the latest archive technologies and geotagging to preserve our coastal culture, educate, and raise its priority among all people. Photos, video and oral histories (when possible) will be collected, digitized, and then returned to the owners. The materials collected will be available to the public and accessible through the web, interactive museum displays and traditional travelling photographic exhibits. The archive materials will also be available for individual and commercial use for a small fee to keep the preservation project active and sustainable.
