About Costa Food Group

Costa Food is the meat holding of Costa Group and its origins lie in the opening of Piensos Costa, a company dedicated to buying and selling cereals. Since then, integration, expansión and growth models have been put into practice that have enabled the Group to become a benchmark in the Spanish and European agri-food business. With a vision of the future and solid values, Costa Food Group (Piensos Costa, Costa Food Meat, Roler, Casademont, Ibericos Costa, Villar and Aviserrano) is committed to being natural from the source. This involves our commitment to the environment and quality achieved through the controlled circular process of pork, chicken and turkey production and the fresh and cured meat products. Our commitment to ‘welfare’ is based around comprehensive care for the animals (good food, good sties, good health and suitable behaviour) and the Group’s philosophy of continuous improvement. All of which has led to us becoming the first Spanish pork producer to obtain the AENOR ‘Animal Welfare’ certificate for all the livestock farms and the whole production process. This now sits alongside the other certificates obtained by the Group: IFS and BRC.
