Cottage Seven Academy is a private academic school licensed through PDE and located in Phoenixville, PA. We currently serve students grades 1-12 and we accept students with exceptionalities in Chester, Montgomery and Berks counties. Our scope and sequence is state standard aligned and we pride ourselves in our ability to improve student achievement on an individual basis. Our primary focus in the school is to equip the students with the confidence and coping strategies to handle adversity in a controlled and functional manner. Using programmatic interventions to aid students in identifying situations internal and external that may lead to behavioral outbursts or crisis. Our goal is for our students to appropriately identify within themselves when they begin to struggle internally or externally and coach them to use the coping strategies we teach them throughout their day. We have a clear and concise intervention and safety plan where expectations and systematic success is at the forefront. We pride ourselves on the school culture we have created and it supports new students become acclimated to a new environment quickly. These systems have contributed to an increased amount of academic seat time and quality counseling for social emotional needs. Our staff are very qualified and model the professionalism, accountability and empathy to harbor the relationships for student success. The administration focuses on staff member quality of life and understand the importance of having satisfied employees.
